It was through a larger community effort that our Community Garden was created - with only one Northlake member on the planning committee, accompanied by the pastor and three Kenmore neighbors!

Besides the dreams you bring, existing activities include:

• Volunteer opportunities with the Community Garden.
• Imagine Community Festival planning (in summertime).
• Hosting an overnight shelter as needed in October through March, along with other congregations.
• Hosting a tent city in cooperation with groups like Camp Unity and Camp United We Stand.
• Donating to a Little Free Pantry, supervised by the community, for our neighbors to help neighbors with food insecurity.
• Donating to the local Food bank.
• Plus other educational, outreach, and worship activities in the congregation.

We at Northlake Lutheran Church are proud to have been a part of Seattle's Pride Parade for several years.  The whole event has been full of joy, love, fun, and lots of smiles!

We periodically hold a book discussion to read and share thoughts on titles that go over sensitive topics, including homelessness, poverty, and race.
